Capital Insurance Managers was established in Alexandria, Virginia in 1989.  We are now in our 18th year of operation as administrators and marketers of fully insured prescription drug card programs for groups of 5 or more employees.  Todd A. Davis is the President and founder of the company and Suzanne Majors Davis is Vice President.  Both hold Life and Health Insurance licenses in many states.

We have witnessed a lot of changes in these many years.  Initially, $5 and $10 co-pays were the norm.  While annual inflationary costs have always been a consideration, the affect of advertising was not as much a factor as it is today.   Couple this with the invention of new life saving and life enhancing drugs, and you see the reason for the need for cost containment.  We help employers design options that make sense to their employees and pocketbooks.   Our experience makes the difference.

Some groups want our drug card because their health insurance doesn't offer one.  Other groups want to "carve out" their drug card from their health insurance to save money.  We can help in both cases. .

C.I.M., Inc. has a network of agents, general agents and brokers throughout the country who sell its products.  C.I.M., Inc. manages and handles all eligibility, billing, marketing, payment of agent commissions, and develops premium rates for each proposed and renewing group based upon underwriting guidelines jointly developed with actuaries and the underwriting insurance companies.

Capital Insurance Managers consists of two companies: Texas Capital Insurance Managers (TCIM) and TADCO Capital Insurance Managers (TADCO-CIM).

Principals:

 Todd A. Davis is the President and founder of Capital Insurance Managers, Inc. and Texas Capital Insurance Managers, Inc. He manages the day-to-day operations of the companies and has nineteen years of experience in the insurance industry.

Prior to founding CIM, Inc., Mr. Davis was employed by a mid-Atlantic based Dental HMO, served as a member of its Board of Directors and directed a variety of development projects and dentist recruitment.  In his previous position, he served as the Executive Director of the Virginia State Board of Dentistry.  Prior to that, he aided the lobbying efforts of the California Dental Association, based in Los Angeles, handling regulatory and public affairs duties.

Mr. Davis graduated from California State University at Northridge in 1981 with a B.A. in History.  He is a licensed insurance agent in many states.

Mr. Davis is the grandson and son of the founders and presidents of the world famous T.A. Davis Company, makers of the Davis wooden tennis frames. During his college years, Mr. Davis worked in the family's tennis racket factory in North Hollywood, California.

Suzanne Majors Davis is Vice President and co-owner of Capital Insurance Managers, Inc.  She is involved in advertising, marketing, negotiations and customer service.

Mrs. Davis has many years of experience in writing and public relations.  She has written for newspapers, magazines, television, radio, etc. and has media trained Ambassadors, U.S. government officials and political candidates while working in the national and Texas capitals.  She also served as a Special Assistant for Public Affairs in the Near East Bureau of the Agency for International Development at the U.S. Department of State.  Her government service also includes serving as a Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Development.

Mrs. Davis graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977 with a Bachelor of Journalism and in 1979 with a B.A. in Political Science.  She is also a licensed health insurance agent.
